If you’re looking for some great activities for toddlers, whether it’s at home or in school, you’ve come to the right place. It can feel like an impossible challenge to keep toddlers entertained for more than a few minutes at a time, but the truth is that with a little bit of inspiration, you can create activities that any toddler will enjoy. Here are a few ideas to help you get started.
When in doubt, start simple! The first activity that this video covers is a great one to start with. All you’ll need is two or three simple puzzles, a plastic bin, and a bag of rice.
Start by disassembling all of your puzzles. These puzzles should be easily completable for your child — you can even use puzzles that you’ve completed together before.
Place all of your puzzle pieces in the plastic bin and fill it with rice. After mixing everything together, you’ve got a sensory bin for your toddler to find the puzzle pieces in. The goal of this activity is to let your child put together all of the puzzles by choosing pieces from the sensory bin. Using their knowledge of color and shape, they will be able to put all of the puzzles together in time.
